We love welcoming visitors to Edinburgh and want to help you explore and enjoy the city, your way. Everyone has different needs and expectations — that’s why we have so many tours to choose from. There is something for everyone!

Information You Need

Our most readily accessible public tours are Secrets of Edinburgh's Royal Mile, Witches: Trial & Truth, and Ghostly Tales of Edinburgh's Royal Mile

Our Storyteller tour guides are trained to adapt tours to visitor needs.

The Blair Street Underground Vaults are not wheelchair accessible. However, an interactive audio-visual display in the Vaults Museum is designed specifically for guests with mobility or sensory needs. You can step into the depths of Edinburgh’s past—no stairs required. Learn more in the video below.

Assistance dogs are welcome on our tours.

We provide complimentary tickets for carers when booking a full price child, concession or adult ticket.

To book call us on 0131 225 5445.

To make it as easy as possible to see what our tours involve, we’ve created an accessibility video, which you can watch below. You’ll find lots of detailed information on getting to us, booking tickets, tours, accessibility aids and public toilets. Subtitles are available on the video.

Accessibility Aids on Tour

Audio Devices

Your live Storyteller tour guide wears a microphone and utilises an audio system during the tour. Every guest is given headphones to make it easier to hear. We also offer hearing devices designed specifically for hearing aids, though the headphones also work with most hearing aids.

Portable Stools

Portable stools, which double as walking aids, can be provided upon request for the duration of your tour.

Sensory Bags

Sensory bags are designed to enhance focus and promote relaxation during cognitively demanding tasks. They can be particularly beneficial for individuals with sensory processing differences, such as autistic individuals or those with ADHD.

Sensory bags include sunglasses, a lantern, fidget toys and speaking cards. There are different bags designed for children and for adults.
